February 19, 2010, Newsletter Issue #157: The Not So "Simple Life"

Tip of the Week

Nicole Richie, best known for her role in the reality television series, "The Simple Life" has launched her own jewelry line "House of Harlow 1960" which she named after her daughter, Harlow Winter Kate, who's father is Joel Madden from the band "Good Charlotte".   In February 2009 Nicole and Joel announced that they are expecting their second child.

"House of Harlow 1960" which was launched in 2008 features a line of 60s and 70s influenced jewelry and will expand into children's wear and accessories.  “I’ve always felt that great accessories are essential in every complete outfit and I wanted to create a collection that was easy to mix and match; to either wear alone as an everyday piece, or stack on to make more of a statement,” Nicole said in a press release.

In addition to being an actress and jewelry designer, Nicole wrote a semi-autobiographical novel in 2005 entitled, "The Truth About Diamonds" which is loosely based on her life, but is mostly fictional.
