Reality TV Star and Fashion Designer Pens Her First Novel

Lauren Conrad went from the "Hills" to the New York Times Best Seller list with her debut novel "L.A. Candy".  This semi-autobiograpahy is about a 19 year old girl who moves to Hollywood and becomes a star in her own reality show.  The book is the first in a three book deal for the reality television star. 

This mult-talented star is best known for being featured in the MTV reality television series, "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" and later for her spin-off show, "The Hills"  which follows her personal and professional life as she pursues a career in the fashion industry.  While filming the show in 2008 she developed a new fashion line, the Lauren Conrad Collection however a year later she announced that she would be taking an hitaus and her 2009 Spring and Summer collection has been cancelled.
