Tennis great, Robert Larrimore Riggs died of prostate cancer on 25 October 1995, in California, USA. Riggs defeated Margaret Court in the first "Battle of the Sexes" tennis match during the early 1970s. Ranking women´s champion Billie Jean King defeated Riggs in the second "Battle of the Sexes" contest held some months later.
